its opening niiiiiight. im super excited. the other nights were just practice...yeah.

chirren is basically the highlight of my day. school is just.....dull. of course my friends arent and id die without them there, but i want to effing cut myself in ed. for careers. its painfully boring.

today we had a potluck. it was a success! i cant wait until next week.

we went on a shopping "spree" today, and i decided this:

if i could marry a store, id marry Old Navy.

then id cheat on Old Navy regularly with Fossil.

and just hook up with the Gap a few times.

then once i divorce Old Navy and take half of its money, id marry Banana Republic (because i couldnt afford to be with it before the divorce settlement)

ew. i sound like that kind of girl desperate for a guy. i am definitely not and i never will be.(if i ever get like a certain girl that i know, and certain people will know who im talking about....please shoot me) i just found that weird (....that stuff cant even go well in my dreams.)

but, this dream was in no way realistic. i met him at a basketball camp...i dont play or even really like basketball.

no balloons were launched at the balloon festival this weekend in baton rouge

so saturday and sunday we just re-illed by the pool (while it was raining) and then went to my aunts house to inconviently chat. this weekend was kinda big a. except for my uncles. i want to a female version of them when i grow up.

yesterdays "picnic" didnt really go as planned. it rained pretty bad at the park, so we went to the mall. then later we went to see "john tucker must die". heh. it was pretty entertaining. and the day was mucho fun

wednesday night after rehearsal i went to melanies house to sleep over. i had tonsssssssss of fun.

the next day we looked around in a bunch of stores in mandeville and had lunch. that was tons of fun too. hehe.

i aaaalmost plugged my ipod into her library but we didnt have time she has an amazing ipod, too...

well i am missing dinner with my sister, who i havent seen in a while, to go to rehearsal. so i hope we get a lot accomplished.

with a diet of bread, jello, and gatorade, its no wonder ive lost 4 pounds in the past day and a half. that cannot be good. i basically emptied my stomach monday night, but still. i think that sleeping most of yesterday, and getting almost 14 hours of sleep last night contributes a bit, too. fhsaopfj

i dont feel sick anymore. but i still cant eat anything fatty (bummer....) and i can only drink water and gatorade. im not complaining though. i LOVE gatorade. and today im gonna try to eat a turkey sandwich. im very excited

i dont know if im still contagious. i really really hope im not.

throwing up is one of the worst experiences.... itd be in the top 5, if i made a top 10 list of worst experiences....

im not going to ryans today. i was too weak this morning to eat a whole piece of toast....thats pathetic

but last night (aka hell) around 3:30 the-n was playing "my so called life"! that made me pretty happy. even though that show always made me depressed....whatev

so basically, i am very sick. and it sucks...

aladdin went sooooo well last night. we took lots of pictures with julia's camera, and i'll just have to be patient now to get them. heh.

we went to buffalo wild wings afterwards. i decided that since i was really hungry, i wanted to eat something that i'd regret eating later. my plan worked! i feel like crap now ha.

hannah's house was lots of fun. we talked for a long time. about the same stuff over and over again....but we got a lot out in the air, which is always good. we decided that we have the same personality towards guys. we think the exact same way about them too. hmmmm.

well once i get some pictures i'll definitely post them.

wow, so since saturday.....

sunday night was our BEST performance. everyone gave it their all, and it showed.

the lock-in was uber fun. but there was a certain activity that some people were excluded from and i felt like crap after that.

aladdin has been awesome. we got our costumes yesterday. i like the heram girl costume. but im in love with the genie costume. and we finished learning everything today, so hopefully we can start running through it with no blocking tomorrow. since its only about 48 minutes long, we should be able to run through it at least twice tomorrow. hopefully more.

chirren has been boring, the alto part is pretty hard. then we add in the fact that there are only about 8 altos, and that leaves a very disgruntled katie....but i need to get over it.

mmmm so thats my life right now.

mmm opening night. i think it we all did great. of course there were the usual mishaps, but what can you do?

afterwards we got frostAYs and re-illed at brianas house for about 45 minutes. tehe. it was mucho fun.

soooo many people are coming today. most of them are family, so i really want it to go perfectly.

mmmmm EDIT:

the matinee went way better than last night. it was so effing hot though. and when we were doing our final bow, they just cut off the music while we were still singing, then we awkwardly walked off the stage. it was hysterical.

i saw my dad, katharine, sheila, hannah, jacki, molly, melanie, melanie's mom, and mr.sauber and his crew. that made me way happy.

we went out to dinner at mi mamacitas. we got the chocolate chimichanga for dessert. lets just call it orgasmic chocolatey goodness.

in circuit city tonight i realized that 4 second eye sex really is hard to achieve. i had it with a random guy only for about 2.5 seconds .

after rehearsal last night, me, lizzie, hannah, emily and sarah went to o'henrys. we decided that wed totally pig out....we definitely accomplished that goal then a spur of the moment idea to have a sleepover came up. but this was after hannah left so the rest of us went to emilys. we stayed up until 4 am talking. thats good though. its usually 6 am whenever people sleep over at my house. it was tons of fun.

aladdin was ok. we could not get the middle part for the songs. i felt stupid. then we tapped. i havent mastered most of the steps, but i dont do that bad.

then we (julia, emily and i) met up with MELANIE at wendys. i love that girl...not only is she my fashion icon, she is effing hilarious and adorable. we made a new friend at wendys too. his/her name was ashley wilkes. it was an awesome green bug that loved ranch dressing and NaCl. yes, we fed it ranch dressing....just because....were....that cool?

aaaaah. seussical...i think itll be good. but not great.

i have way too many problems with it. "glorified stage crew" is what emily described the things as, and i totally agree. everyone should be important to the finale of the show. no one should have to go off of the stage. and it doesnt have to be awkward (tehe), but it just is. its very slow, quiet music too, so the sound of rolling wheels is very evident, and definitely doesnt sound good. but ill make the best of it, anyway.

i have some other problems too. but at least theres an upside tonight! no makeup or costumes

and when i think back on last years play, i get very happy about seussical.

oh, and the personality crap is returning. i seriously told rebekkah that she could call me a bitch last night. i feel soooo bad about the whole situation with my wig last night. there was just too much going on, and a few people got caught in the middle of my....lets call it a "bitch fit"

ryan's was fun. our waitress, Tressy, was awesome. we even made her a theme song "That's So Tressy" she loved it. ill post a picture as soon as josh sends them to me. we took a LOT of pictures in party city because were lame...i mean...cool

oh oh! and i need to post our "Gay-dar" song. its to the tune of"havin' a hunch" lataaaa

tonight went well once the makeup disasters (yes there were a few) were somewhat settled. i really think that by friday we'll have it down. just 2 more rehearsals.....oh lord.....but i discovered that i hate my part. its so awkward. i dont know what the hell im supposed to do for the military. and whatever i do, the other thing will copy... every time were on stage, its painfully awkward. so consider that my warning to anyone who is going to see it.

on a lighter note, the "party" was fun tonight. very loud. WE GOT MONEY. YEAH YEAH YEAH. oh wow. we should have gone further with that.....oh well. theres always next time.

i was just looking forward to aladdin tomorrow, but then i remembered that were tapping. its hardcore (or what I consider hardcore) tapping, too. eeeeh (im not sure what sound "eeeeh" makes, but i want it to be like "aaaaay" k?)

it just sounded like a piece of metal was being scraped along the ground, and i thought that was a bit strange. i looked out the window to see a man walking along the concrete edge of his lawn with a lawn mower. he wasnt even getting any grass...just concrete

today i am getting my own face paint to bring to seussical. that was one of the most miserable experiences in....oh i dont know how long. but it sucked. everything my face touched became white. including certain spots on my costume, my fingers, and my wig. ugh. oh, and grease paint on my face every night for a week, cant be too good for the acne. actually, its the worst thing i could be doing. i was complaining about it all last night, and i now i feel stupid. i should have just sucked it up. oh well.

other than the makeup, i think everything went well. we still need to work on the choreography for the last scene though. we just sorta guessed where we went after the dancing parts....and im almost positive that the things werent supposed to be in between the sour kangaroo and the wickershams. hm.

in the LAST scene. the FINALE, we have to go bring the tree off stage. how lame is that??? since we dont get to dance in the hunch dance now, were basically just the set movers of the show.

tonight i showed up on time for 9 pm, and waited around watching everyone elses make up being done, then i was the LAST one to get made up....

i only kept it on for like 10 minutes and it only took about 3 minutes to do. i walked in the door, and my mom said "thats what you waited 3 hours for?"

ugh.

well, i have hope in aladdin being fun tomorrow. not that tonight wasnt fun. its always fun with my buds. yeah, i said buds.

i almost cried at rehearsal. thats weird to type....but its true. (it was really weird...im sure i had the strangest look on my face because i was holding it all in. i never get that emotional.....) then, why i was so upset was huge, but now its not so big. it was more than one reason though. and both are still bothering me. alot.

mmm today was boring. then it rained. and i got excited because i always watch Toy Story when the satellite goes out. sure, i COULD watch it anytime, but its a bit more special when i watch it on this occasion.

we had rehearsal from 7-8:10, then 9-11:45....that was insane. i think its picking up though. and i know what im doing 92.423% of the time. heh

during break, a hysterical mad lib was created.

One night I was sitting alone in my broken house sipping a cup of peepee as I read from an old morning dew. Suddenly, there was a sticky noise coming from the stick. The hair on the back of my toy truck stood straight up, and I got meercat bumps all over my body. Then I remembered, this avocado was supposed to be haunted. Someone or something was down in the snacky. I heard clanking vienna sausages, as if a mashed carrot was being dragged across the floor of the nostril. The room suddenly became boogery and cold. A big white hand floated right through the door. I nearly shawned in my pants. Speaking in a steamy voice, the ghost said something I'll never forget if i live to be 12, "I've just come from the bathroom and you're out of rock paper."

Do you ever just have dreams
that are so real, you actually think they happend?

Well, this one was CLOSE to that. It's something I didn't even think could happen, but now I REALLY want it to. Like more than anything....it's insane....

Once I woke up, I decided that I'd try to get that dream back because it was so amazing. And what happend in it wasn't even that amazing. But the fact that I could actually see it happening in real life, (with all the feelings that I'd feel) was amazing.

Wow. I'm reading that over, and it sounds like the dream might have been about sex. It totally wasn't. ha

There was a guy though. Someone who i hadn't really thought of "in that way" before. dreams are weird.... but now..... I DO see that person in a different way. hm

today was a pretty good day.

p.e.: amazing weather + amazing music = me.
once again, i actually LEARNED something in spanish. so maybe it had nothing to do with spanish, but still. say, did you know that the song "the day the music died" was written about the airplane crash that killed ritchie valens (la bamba), big bopper (musician from louisiana) and buddy holly??? well now you do!
IBCA: read more of avalon high (aka coolest plot EVER) im not even done with it yet and im adding it to my list of favorites. its very cool. only rebekkah and i seem to think so, though. lol
lunch was hysterical. coach ruffin....jacki.....gender confused (not about their OWN gender....just about davids....) black girls....seth harassing shawn.........you know, the usual.
science: did a lab. english: watched romeo and juliet. mrs. hymel had to "censor" the partial nudity in one scene using a vocabulary workbook. i gotta tell ya, following around romeo's butt with a workbook takes some serious skill.
in geography we took a quiz and listened to SPAMALOT as we colored! thats right, julia convinced her to let us listen to it because of the finland song. and since were learning about western europe, its very appropriate. and we listened to a couple of other songs too. of course, NO ONE got it, and just criticized it. whatEVS. math was poop

hannah and i wrote a metal song!

so this year were skipping mardi gras and going to destin and im bringing kate along for the trip. itll be like 7th grade all over again! sweeet. ill only get to go to ONE parade, and thatll be this wednesday. i dont know what parade it is, but were going to megs apartment. i never see her anymoooore! and i need to return her cds. and all the crap she left in my room. haha.

yesterday lizzie and i watched the newer version of romeo and juliet, and we followed along with my book. ive decided that i hate this story. its a great piece of literature, dont get me wrong, but i just really dont like the actual plot. sometimes i just cant shut off the logical part of my brain. i cant deal with fate. everything in this story has to do with it. romeo just happend to be there when the servant comes along with the guest list to capulet's party and that leads to so many other things, which ultimately leads to his and juliet's death. i guess it wouldnt be a TRAGEDY if it was any different though. heh. but life is kinda like that. do you ever catch a red light and wonder "what if we had left 5 seconds earlier? we would have made it!"? its not that big of a mystery. its not really a mystery at all...i just wonder about certain things sometimes. ok, ill stop now.

i was trying to lead into todays performance of the party scene from romeo and juliet. it went WONDERFULLY! i had soooo much fun! i discovered that acting like a drunk person is mucho fun. especially when you get to stumble off the stage. and we taught everyone the young americans bow to do at the end. heh. the rest of the day sorta sucked because i felt like craaappppp.

hellloooo.

today my dad and i went to get coffee and breakfast at cc's. it was enjoyable school was ok. in p.e. we went out on the track and jessica was in the chorus room, so i was alone. but it was perfectly ok! in fact, i enjoyed the walk A LOT. the weather was great (it was insanely windy, but it felt amazing!) and i had busbee, which is FANTASTIC for outdoor activities. just like franz ferdinand is perfect for running and green day is perfect for baking (in MY experience anway....) spanish was scary, ibca was boring, lunch was fun.

yep. good times.....a bit of awkwardness, as usual, but this time it was my fault. ooooppppsss.....

science was cool. i liked the lab. super easy. and rebekkah learned how to make a slip knot! yaaaay! english was fun. we rehearsed the scene. it went sorta well? ish? yeah well i know my 2 lines, so sure. hopefully i can borrow those cool cups from mr. sauber so i can party harder. lady capulet and i are getting wasted. haha. if i had a nickel for every time i heard that phrase.....geography was enjoyable. except for when mrs ruffin suspected lauren of having mono? its confusing....yeah. math was poop. i got a 60 on the test. the best grade in the class was a 75. that is sad....some smartass kid decided to be, well...a smartass today in class, and yarborough decided that we wont get to make up the test because of it. this is the kid that i wanted to punch all last semester because he was an arrogant bastard....things obviously havent changed.....ugh....

today i got the materials for my saga mask. it should be interesting and crappy and on the way to mandeville i introduced my dad to busbee. he really likes them he said the only thing it was missing was some ripping guitar solos....ha.

BEAUTIFUL!" and julia was like "ok, were 5 minutes into the video and katie is STILL having orgasms" it was greaaat......but truuuueeeee......hahahahaha. then i told mrs. ruffin to show great britain in the parade of nations, because i liked their outfits, then when she finally did, everyone criticized their outfits and totally disagreed with me. haha

helllllooooo. i am giggling right now because there was this headline on yahoo that said "white house defends katrina role". i most def thought it said "whitney houston defends katrina role" hahahaha

today was funnnnnn. p.e. kinda sucked because jessica wasnt there, but i had busbee, and some random black guy i took a 30 minute nap in spanish, but it was interrupted a few times by the guy who sits in front of me. he kept putting his arm on my desk, then moving it vigorously....not cool man. but he didnt mean to, he was using his arm to express what he was telling someone, and my desk just happend to be its resting place.... ibca was boring because we didnt do anything, but once again, i had busbee and some random black guy.

lunch was fun as usual. i had some vanilla creamerrrrr. yummmm. some parts were a bit awkwaaaaaaard. and i discovered that singing the horn part of the army insanely loud with david is mucho fun. whats even more fun, is the fact that no one else (except for shawn) knows what were singing because theyre not cool enough.......

science was fun because sarah and julia came and talked with rebekkah and i because the sub was a pushover. heh. english was ok. i was complimented on my performance from scene one and i got the part of capulet's second cousin for scene five. i have 2 lines, but we all get to dance, so thatll be fun. geography was bleh. test was easy though. same girl copied off of me....what evs....math was poop.

i put a completely unecessary amount of time into my "valentines". its mostly because i was extremely bored this weekend, and im starting to discover my need for always having a project. but the cookies are reaaaaally yummy.

ive decided to just wear my moms shoes to saga. im going to need some toilet paper for the stuffing though. the shoes are a bit too big. but ill probably end up taking them off anyway. so i put the whole ensemble together tonight and everything matches, very subtly though. theres blue in my earrings, bracelet, and necklace that all tie in with the lovely blue of the dress. the only thing left is to figure out a hairstyle.....

today, to make the hell that is wal-mart somewhat amusing, my mom and i counted how many people stopped in the middle of the aisle, making it impossible to maneuver. we got up to 12. that is sad. i probably would have killed myself today if it wasnt for the busbee music in the car....."if you wanna taaaake me, wrap your arms all arooound me, hold me so tight that i caaaant breathe, drown me in kisses every niiiiight...baby, i dont mind....."

hola. today was fun at some points.

at lunch, shawn had 8 empty milk cartons (4 of which were HIS) in front of him, and mr decarlo came over and basically called him a cow for drinking all that milk. it was HILARIOUS!!!! man oh man do i love it when administrators inquire about our table....

science test was not fun, most def. i think i got at least a C....but english was MUY FUN! we rehearsed our scence, then watched the other class perform it, then we performed it for them. i think we were better next is SCENE FIVE! we get to make masks i cant wait

aaaaaaah today was mucho fun! lunch was really messy and hilarious as always. im guessing that listerine + creamer isnt a good combination judging by what i saw today. and we made another mega carton, using "potato salad" as cement. haha. and lizzie was there which made it SUPER fun! and she wrote me a note. thanks ZAB!

but major bummer was AFTER that when i failed (literally....as in less than a 50) the science quiz. and we have a test tomorrow. loooooovelllyyyy. but 5th hour was FUN! we "rehearsed" for tomorrow's performance. we made swords out of newspaper. mine sucked....but its cool because im still a pretty fierce warrior. sarah is an AMAZING prince. i love her! tomorrow should be interesting.

Valentines day is almost on top of us.

You know what that means. Love is in the air. Romance is in the air. And PROFITS are in the air. Yes, don't rub your eyes, you read correctly, i said "Profits".

Fact: Valentines day was created by the flower companies and the hallmark company AND chocolate companies and companies that create little plastic cupid creatures containing candy and fluffy what-nots.

THEY started valentines day to sell all of these 'romantic goodies' to unsuspecting sentimental consumers.

I don't buy it. And neither should you.
Don't buy anything 'heart-shaped', 'floral' or made of chocolate this valentines day. Don't purchase anything with a cupid or fluffy theme to it. Don't buy anything that contains something else that is cuteand/or romantic. To show your 'mate' that you adore them, do something worthwhile for them. Clean up their yard. Shovel something for them. Give their Honda a tune-up. Go to Sam's Club and buy them a flat of toilet paper and stock it in their basement.

Why not, as the ancients used to, kill something delicious for them and lay it on their door-step. Astag, a salmon, a sow. Or, as someone I have been seeing might suggest, spend the day in penitent prayer on their behalf.

woooooooot! so im at my maw maws house right now, but the virus on our computer is GOOOONE! alert the media! i went 2 days without a computer haha

ummm so you know when you think of witty things to put on here during the day, then you totally forget once youre actually updating? *points to self*

i do remember that lunch today was fun. but the fry that julia put under the table almost 3 weeks ago has VANISHED! so she sacrificed one of her tater tots to replace the poor fry. what else? rebekkah was itchy, lauren was gerbilly, sarah was pissssed (and i would be too!), david was high, shawn was stylish with the glasses, julia was psyched about goldfish (as usual) and i was ummm.....not stomach-achy? and we made a mega milk carton,. this one was satan though.

oh yeah! we (me, rebekkah and julia) did a really LAME lab in science. our bunsen burner sounded like a jet engine (sort of...haha) then our stirring rod fell and broke, then it felt like we were behind everyone else, but it turned out ok. we figured out that rebekkah and i produce really good scum. and rebekkah and julia produce really good babies. good times.

in english were acting out act I, scene I of ROMEO AND JULIET and i have the part of ABRAM. pretty sweeeeeet.

my math project is almost done!!! i just need to finish the box. the board looks awesome its called: COIN WORP (not wArp....worp. its dutch for toss)

today we went to breakfast and lets just say we totally skipped lunch today.

after that we came home and chilllled for a while. we set the date for destin this year, and were renting a friggen beach house i was like "thats....cool....." but i wanted to say "ummm why dont i get any of this money that were throwing around?" then my dad and i went to the magnolia trace elementary school playground to fly his toy plane. it most definitely took a nosedive on the first "flight", completely demolishing the nose. my dad was really bummed. and katharine was kinda disappointed because she paid a lot for the thing. ooooooh well.

tonight were making a pizza while watching the game. ill be pretty bored since i hate football, but hopefully the commercials will entertain me.

oh yeah, and tomorrow ill be getting a busbee cd from DAVID

so last night i fell asleep at 9. and i feel great!

today (all day), my dad and i worked on my math project. it rocks pretty hard if youre a fan of brightly colored geometric shapes. (and who isnt?) but i cant think of a name.... something to do with shapes and a penny. im thinking a play on words.....if you have an idea, and you wish to share, ill give you a cookie (seriously, im baking some on monday)

besides that, things around here are pretty dull....well except for isabel. i had spit wars with her this morning. she totally won.....

these past couple of days have been AMAZING! young americans went fantastically. im sooo glad that i got to be a part of it. ill remember this and those people forever. and i heard a few compliments today, which is pretty cool.

my dad told me today that i was good at skatting because of "...all the blues you listened to wit yo daddy!" thanks pop.

so in english we had to list the traits for our "perfect mate", then we had to bring it home to our parents and have them list what they think we said. katharine said "family oriented" and my dad was like "oh yeah. lets see: wants a family" and katharine was like "NOOOO!" it was funny...in a really weird/uncomfortable way. but this is all for ROMEO and JULIET which im super PSYCHED for! but i will shoot myself if people read this story with no emotion and they mispronounce words. seriously, i have my gun ready.

i have sooooooooo much make-up work. its crazy. ill be going to school early for the rest of this week. miller decided that we should have to take the quiz (on material that was covered on monday) tomorrow.

young americans is AMAZING! the people are so awesome and talented im too white for most of the dances, but its still super fun. and even though my throat, legs and back hurt, im still sooo excited for tomorrows performance! i have a scat solo. so do michelle and shawn. hehe. were all natural born scatters....and theres just lots of stuff that appeals to people. liiiike a beatles medley and a disney medley! fo sho! COME AND SEE IT! 7:30 in the auditorium. tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students

warning: very long entry. may cause extreme boredom unless you want to hear about my weekend.

whoa. so this weekend has been awesome. convention was sooooo great.

we left at like 5:40 AM even though we planned on 5....the car ride was soooo fun!!! it was me, hannah, sarah f, and sarah s. of course we cracked eachother up, but we also had really serious discussions. mucho fun. we made a few stops on the way including shoney's where doug met the love of his life: our waitress, mique (mee-qua) then after we ate, we worked on the commercial. booker + sarah f = <3

a little bit before noon we left and headed to northwestern. the area is really pretty, lots of hills and such. we all got our name tags and piled into the theatre. some of the commercials were extremely clever, making ours look not so good, but it was still tons of fun. after that were the tech olympics. gabby and josh h beat the team they were up against, but didnt make the fastest time. but they still did awesome!

we headed to a workshop #1: creating scripts through improvisation. i think it was fun watching other people do improv, im just terrible at it. and the room was insanely hot! i actually worked up a sweat. ewwwww. but the workshop was fun

right when the other showcases that day started, we had to go get ready for ours. we were still hot from the workshop, and then we had to pile into a crowded bathroom to change into our costumes. yuck. but when we were all ready we ran through the tap dance and after a long time of waiting it was finally our turn. i think everyone did a fabulous job!! and i guess the crowd thought so too. standing ovation

after that was dinner: pizza and coke. oooh yes. we sat outside and had a blaaassttt. then there was another workshop: collage. FUN FUN FUN!! the girl who ran the workshop had lots of cool music playing. (the atmosphere was great, michelle) and i was so proud of my collage. its going in the binder.

that night were more a few more showcases. i pretty much enjoyed all of them. we left the campus a little bit before 10 PM. we headed to the hotel and got settled. out room wasnt a party room until SUSHI TV came on! aaaaaah! it was HYSTERICAL! i have no idea why, but we (me, hannah, sarah f, doug and tyler) laughed at just about EVERYTHING. this guy was like " i will now split this beer bottle in half. watch closely" and all he did was swat at it with his hand and it flew off the table. LUH-MOW!!!

we (me, hannah, sarah f, and sarah s) talked to josh b and tyler until like 2 AM. then we kicked them out because we were "waking up" in 4 hours. after our 4 hours of sleep, we all had to get ready in the morning, and sarah s (who said she was waking up before everyone else) took the longest. ha. i had a fantastic complimentary breakfast of half a bagel then we headed to pj's coffee. i didnt get anything though. and everyone who did get something ended up throwing it away. hahahaha.

we got to the campus at 8:45 and sat down to see some more showcase performances. mandeville high's ORIGINAL play about the hurricane was sooooo amazing! i loved it. then we headed to another improv workshop. these guys were great! after that was the "cabaret luncheon". we had subway and chips. yummm. i really enjoyed most of the performances. especially chris, dan, and doug's. its just hysterical. im so glad that josh h video taped it. after lunch was our last workshop, but i wasnt feeling too well so i sat in the hall (heh. yeah....) then we went to "closing ceremonies" where the winners of the individual events and the scholarships performed. chris did sooo good.

ive decided that convention was really fun, but since it was so short, its not like i'll "miss it". i just cant wait to go again next year. and hopefully hannah will upload some pictures soon so i can post em!

sooo today was good. we dressed out in p.e., we LEARNED things in spanish AND we did WORK in IBCA, which is all very new. what else...oh, i witnessed a scientific phenomenon. and no, it wasnt the lab we did in science. it was when ketchup was rubbed into my (light) orange jacket (no thanks to david) and somehow....someway, it completely disappeared from view.... yeah....weird.

anywho, the lab in science was my least favorite so far. but i turned the "gas valve" too much, and when i lit the burner, the flame was like a foot high. heh. ms. miller got super mad, and i giggled. and english is just....dull. our class isnt that talkative, and we dont really get into heated discussions like last semester..... but i like poetry, and i get it....so its fun in my own little way we had to write a poem in response to a poem in the book. i enjoyed that assignment, but im not going to share my poem.

in geography were watching the day after tomorrow! aaaah! i love movies like that. and i borrowed that national geographic (finally!) but i dont know when ill find the time to read the article....oh well. aaaaaand math is basically poop.

sooo rehearsals went ok, i guess. i enjoyed me and sarah s's rendezvous on the couch when she wears that hat with her heals on and sings "that song from gilligan's island". hahahahahahaha. good times. i adore the tap dance now but i just need to work on my ad-libbing during the reporter scene. i dont like being a reporter now that i am. heh. but tyler is letting me use his cool looking camera, and hopefully julia can find the trench coat that she used, because i need one...yeah. dan, doug and chris's skit is HYSTERICAL. (mr sauber filled in for chris.) i laughed so hard that i was coughing by the end!!! it was BRILLIANT.

yeah, so um...a little glimpse into my mind. eh...we wont go back there for a while. im sorry that you had to endure that.

while im on the subject of tv. i watched love monkey last night. i adore tom cavanagh, so i just HAD to watch it. then i heard that ben folds made a little appearance, so then i REALLY had to watch it. i actually really enjoyed it. the first episode didnt really go with the title yet, but well see how it emerges

my life is now officially complete: today i witnessed a liscense plate with the letters N-I-G on it (and for some strange reason, i thought of katie and julia) that was basically the high point of my day

i helped my dad put together a work bench....not fun...except for when i got to use the DRILL. muahahahaha

then we went to macaroni grill and that was enjoyable. i had my usual....how freakin adventurous am i??? then we went to get some FROZEN YOGURT! there was a kid there in his PJs. they had dirt bikes on them! just like the ones that i have!!! haha.

so ive been feeling all philosophical lately since ive been reading an article in national geographic questioning darwin's evolutionary theory. heres an excerpt:

last night it was "eat what you want" night at the kay household, so i chose *drumroll* SPAGHETTIOS!!! where would i be without chef boyardee? nowhere....

today i finally got a USB adapter for my ipod. so now i can charge my ipod in the outlet, for when i dont have a computer around. so thats taken care of

then tonight i went to keith's sister's house for a little shin dig for his birthday (which was yesterday and i didnt know, so i told him "happy birthday" today. oooops) and his dad does barbecue competitions, so the food was reaaally good the only bad part about tonight was when their cat kept attacking my legs from under the table. yeah, it sounds cute, but beneath that furry and cuddly surface lies a natural born killer

but ive been feeling kinda sick lately, and i think my cough is coming back! and im so blah-y lately. my mind is constantly running over certain things and it never seems to stop. so im mentally exhausted as well....

one thing thats been interesting to me is something that was brought up at lunch last week. there is no evidence of humpty dumpty ever being an egg.
if you really wanna make it emo, think not of humpty dumpty FALLING off the wall, think of him JUMPING off the wall. afterwards, everyone tells him "you gotta get your act together man!" but in the end they cant put him back together again.

and there you have it. but if he WAS an egg, i think he still jumped....

wow so the updating every day thing is getting old...i know....

beauty and the beast was FABULOUS! wonderful job everyone!

school was actually pretty good today. i still hate p.e., but oh well. ummm mrs. robertson is still crazy. but nothing will ever beat her "wacky tobaccy" episode. ibca is going swell but me and the people around me got soooo bored. its like painfully boring in there... lunch was lunch. filled with sillyness and mushy milk fries. oooh! science! BUNSEN BURNER! aah! rebekkah and i kept lighting matches for no reason. heh. then english was poo. so was geography....and math.... wow. ok so my day really wasnt THAT good. haha

aaaah so today was pretty good, but it felt really weird because of the new schedule and such.

1st hour- Fortier- P.E.- its just me...and my ipod....yeah....its sad

2nd hour-Robertson - Spanish- i never thought id say this, but i want to be back in senor zavalza's class! this lady is really nice and seems cool, but i feel like im way ahead of the other people....surprisingly, i dont like getting easy A's. maybe i should test out...i dunno...

3rd hour- Lindsey- IBCA- he seems REALLY cool! but he has the no email rule. and i dont like that very much....ill find some way around it

Lunch- theres julia, rebekkah, sarah f and adi. and shawn and amber ate with us today. then david appeared too.

4th hour- Miller- Physical Science- rebekkah is my partner!!! and julia, sarah, jacki and hailey are in there too.

5th hour- Hymel- English- ugh. i have rebekkah, sarah f, sarah s, jacki and hailey, but the rest of the people...*vomit*

6th hour- Ruffin- Geography- once again, ugh. i simply CANNOT tolerate those people (besides julia, sarah s, lauren, and melanie AND mrs. ruffin because shes mean to the poo heads)

7th hour- Yarborough- Algebra- i dont think itll be that bad. the people arent too bad(except for one person, but its actually pretty funny to see how stupid she is. ha)

i dont have any classes with hannah! aaaah! that DEFINITELY sucks. i hate not having our joyess p.e. hour anymore. it was so fun! now i actually have to do my homework! haha. but we still see eachother after school. and today she told me of 2 certain someones who like a certain someone who thought that one of the certain someones HATED her. (i hope yall got that) i have no clue how shell react to this one!

well, the bridal show yesterday was basically crap. put me in an environment where people stand around, NOT MOVING, completely oblivious to other people who need to walk through, and i get pretty agitated. i had no idea that ADULTS did it too. gah. but i did get to sample some pretty awesome cake. ha. and on the way out, there was a peacock up in a tree. it was the coolest thing. but the sound those things make is soooo annoying. its a cross between a cat, a bird and an elephant (which by the way is the only animal with 4 knees! ha!)

so we went out to eat lunch, but we werent all that hungry. heh. so after "lunch" we went to see meg and craig's new house in chalmette. they bought it AS IS, so its pretty yucky downstairs. the water line is about 8 feet, and everything is moldy. but once they fix it up, itll be really nice.

then, as if we hadnt eaten out enough this weekend, we went to osaka. it was yummy, as always. but something tastes different about osaka's dr. pepper. i cant place it though...hmmmm

so today we went to big apple. "we" being me, katie, lizzie, sarah and hannah (the same bunch who was at my house on friday! ha) lizzie was so confused about the concept of a buffet. it was great. the whole time was filled with silly antics. like an olive flying out of katie's mouth, sarah trying to make friends with the waitress, lizzie and i being grossed out by some 8 year old kid at the ice cream station, and me and hannah putting whipped cream all over our faces to look special for lizzie, katie and sarah. fun fun fun! andrew and adi were there too. pretty random.

THEN lizzie came over and we chilled like we would at sweet ressaurass. hahahaha. then she did my hair, AGAIN. shes so good at it. she tried to put a mermaid clip in my hair, but i dont have enough of the stuff (meaning hair...yeah.) it was fun. that girl is CRAZY! and that is why i love my pooperoo: THE emo emu.

now that i think about it, in my children's book: destination nebraska, (the classic tale of a turtle and an emu who travel from barbados to nebraska, seeking adventure.) the emu was quite emo. man, i wonder where that book is! i could post some excerpts....or the whole thing since its only like 15 pages long....heh

so tomorrow morning hopefully lizzie and i will get to school on time, so i can talk to mrs. st.cyr about choir. im thinking about joining now that i dont need to take the class. eek. ive never been in chorus...ever....not even at bonne ecole...i was in band.....yeah no comment, but itd be nice to work on my vocal ability and what not.

this entry is really long, and i WOULD give all of you who read it a cookie, but i just burnt them. all twenty of them. BOTH batches. people at lunch tomorrow will laugh at me i fail at life. gah, wheres my razor????

ello. today was quite good.

we went out to eat breakfast and leave it to ME to get a croissant at the creole bagelry....but i have an excuse! my teeth are still in pain from getting the power chain on them on wednesday. ouchie. i can only chew with the right side of my mouth. poor left side.....oh well. its day will come

and andrew is back in town, so adi had amy, jenny and me over for a little shin dig. it was fun! we played cranium, and the girls (if i didnt have to leave so early) SOOO would have won! but i did have to leave early. why, you ask?

HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE! aaah! loved it loved it loved it. "baby" voldemort but yeah, i really liked the movie. and sorry, (please dont beat me) but the weasley boys need major haircuts! especially fred and george....yeah, theyd be like ten times hotter if they didnt look like GIRLS...heh.

then we went to THAI PALACE! yummmm. but rice noodles + sensitive teeth - strong chewing ability = took me forever to eat my meal but i did eventually finish and boy was it DELICIOUS!

but that full feeling + heat - light = one sleepy katie! yeah, i fell asleep on the way home

tomorrow were going to a bridal show at the abita quail farm! lets see, we have assorted bridal goodies AND some possible quail sightings?!?! whoa.

aaaaah i got an 85 on my math exam! (thats a good thing by the way) im not usually content with a B, but i did my best. i dont think my dad or stepmom gets that concept. katharine said "i wasnt allowed to bring home Bs when i was your age" ugh. my mom says to try my best, and my dad...well he claims that he doesnt demand As, but he really does.....one day i wanna get an F just to see what theyll do....man, thatd be fun.

well, after 7th hour, i met up with hannah as usual. and she said that her 7th hour teacher was giving away a bunch of cds! she got R.E.M., South Pacific, Brigadoon....and something else that i cant remember. but yeah. thats awesome. (i remember that mrs. stevens let me have the fellowship of the ring soundtrack last year...but i think i lost it.....nice one, kate....)

aaah LOST! i soo needed my dosage. i like mr.eko, even though he used to be a drug lord...but im always drawn to those darn drug lords (ask me about my last relationship.......................*kidding*) but i was quite upset that claire kicked charlie out. i was like "awww now he has to go live on the streets!" ha. he CANT start with the heroin again! i know its hard to resist, charlie, but it makes you look HORRIBLE. (even though "horrible" for Dom is still hotter than the average person. hehe.)

i forgot to call amy today to make plans for the half-day. but guys (you know who you are, sillies), i vote for lunch somewhere....suggestions will be greatly appreciated, since not everyone likes chinese food.....

aaaah today i was "browsing" xangas in typing. i was listening to my ipod so i didnt realize until like 12 people stared at me and told me my volume was all the way up. thank goodness it was a GOOD song (jesusland) playing! what if i had gone to a xanga that had like...."my goodies" playing!?!?! oh god! and then someone figured out how to get on myspace today, but i dont really like to associate with guys who play computer games in class and make "action noises"

....oh and because my song was stolen, i got a new one. its still the wonderfully amazing ben folds. and its from the same cd. its called 'you to thank' and i love it.

AAAAH! Dom just presented an award on the peoples choice awards. he is looking FANTASTIC as always i just finished watching Dom on jimmy kimmel from last night. wow. its hilarious. hes always funnier than the host on talk shows. i love it. and i will never miss another talk show because its on too late! yes, we now have a digital video recorder so i can record any show that i know ill miss! sweet. i get to test out the majesty of this device tomorrow morning at 10 when Dom will be on Ellen. but his last appearance wasnt that entertaining. usually when hes on a talk show, the host says something and he makes a joke about it, you know, the setup and the punchline. WELL both Dom and Ellen like to have the punchline, so it kinda clashes...you see?

KING KONG! he is SO EMO! ha. wow. it was SOOO GOOD. its like peter captured my worst nightmare: dinosaurs, GIANT bugs, GIANT bats AND scary native people who shake their chest while chanting in a native tongue, keeping their eyes rolled back into their heads! i decided, many a time during the movie, that if i was naomi watts' character, i would have had a MAJOR accident...and you know what kind of "accident" im talking about...but yeah, it was awesome. adrian brody is one gorgeous guy. hes up there with Dom. and that is VERY high up on the gorgeous-o-meter.

well i am looking forward to this weekend. friday im going to see the one act plays. my dad is coming along too. hahaha. fun fun fun. then on saturday were going to see KING KONG! i got him the video game for christmas and he already beat it! every night for 8 days he played that game, for hours on end...sheesh. now i KNOW he got me the x-box last christmas just so he could play it. heh. but one thing im not looking forward to this weekend is all the studying im gonna have to do. exams are next week. but im not really that stressed about them...yet anyway....i know ill probably do bad in science, but thats the only class i really have trouble in, so i feel confident about all the other ones.

julia let me borrow jack johnson and is GOING TO let me borrow avenue q (for to put on my ipod) but like her, im in love with jack johnson. those hawaiins just have a way with music...i love it.

if you were a new kid at a new school in a new town, wouldnt you WANT people to come up to you and make friends? right, thats what i thought. well apparently indiana guy thinks a bit differently. me and josh invited him to come sit and talk with us but he said he was "fine where he was" (standing BY HIMSELF against the wall next to a bunch of rowdy kids) i guess some people just dont like to be bothered, but NOBODY doesnt want to make friends...right? oh well

soooo we went out to dinner last night and lizzie came! we ate like pigs and had a grand old time. then we went to some LAME "block party". sure it had the 80s and 90s dance music, but no one had fireworks! grrrr. after that we went to my uncles house. me and lizzie sat on the porch swing outside and sang along to the music on my ipod. i definitely lost my voice. and when it was midnight, we all went outside to see fireworks from other houses but the fog was so thick that you could only hear them. that sucked....a lot. but last night was super fun anyway! then we came home and lizzie brought over flapper and bye bye birdie (from YATs). im comparing every play to yearbook now.....god that play was terrible....im definitely MUCH more proud of having been in anything goes. anywho, we woke up at noon....which is weird....and now its 2006....which is weird....and lizzie....is weird. haha. id say that 2005 was pretty darn good (minus the entire month of september)

ello loves. my brain is like throbbing right now....

weelllll, the mall thursday was super fun! it was me, AMY, hannah, and sarah. we all got to catch up with amy, and i got pelted in the eye with a toy shark oh its funny now, but that girl has got an ARM!

thursday night made sugar cookies with my dad, then we decorated them. let me just tell you that i am amazing at decorating cookies and im available for all types of parties. so, if you wanna reach me, just call me...or beep me.

today me and my dad went and saw the ringer. it was entertaining, you could even call it cute. and it didnt really make fun of special people, which is great. it actually gave them the upper hand most of the movie i kinda like johnny knoxville a smidge more now

we got home and made MORE cookies. only these were ginger molasses cookies. they came out faaaabulous. but molasses is groooosssss.

i could sooo write a children's book better than chicka chicka boom boom. in fact....i think i may have already done that with my classic destination: nebraska. i dont really know where it is though....oops

CHRISTMAS IS IN 4 DAYS and i dont feel that excited this year....and i dont want to turn into my sister! ever since she hit...lets say....13 or 14, she has been waaaaaay anti-Christmas-spirity......i dont wanna be like that! aaaaaaah! well, im sure when we go to my grandma's on Christmas eve, itll all get better. no matter how different my cousins and i are, we always seem to be equal on that night, (but maybe that night only....lol) and NO MORE SCHOOL UNTIL JANUARY 2nd!

aaah today was FUNNN! we totally skipped P.E. and we went in the talented theatre room and played HOOPLA. i sucked, but it was fun.

spanish: we sang some songs, but only 5 other people did it, and i was waaaaay louder and they were glaring at me then we didnt do anything else, so i pulled out some BEN FOLDS! i listened to my music while lauren and this girl thought something was seriously wrong with me. i was like....CRAZY. i have no idea why....maybe music just SPARKS something in me....i dunno but i felt super hyper.

geography: we played a half a round of heads up 7 up. then we played a few rounds of KILLER. then we STARTED to pick teams for charades but it kind of died....oh well.

english: watched "elf"! i voted for "a christmas story" but the few of us who did, were way out numbered.

our tiger family christmas party was soooo LAME! we had yucky pizza, and NO ONE ate my cookies. oh well, MORE FOR ME. and then cable shs came on and thats always good. but this time i couldnt understand one word the anchors were saying. after their segment, the whole class would go "what?" it was kind of funny actually.

the rest of the day was like....bleh. then tonight we went to arby's and our cashier seemed a weee bit stoned if you ask me.....

HOLY MEAT SNACKS! Christmas is in 6 days! it doesnt feel like Christmastime.....

hola! last night was FUUUUN! me and hannah laughed SO HARD at sarah. she was laughing in coughs, and then shed giggle softly. it was HYSTERICAL! gooood times at the koslosky residence. hannahs parents are the coolest. the car ride to convention in the space ship will be quite fun!

i never knew just how much i would miss our movie theaters! we have to either to go hammond or covington to see a movie, which is actually really hard to do. and i want to see soooo many movies right now!

ive lost my writing ability. not writing like writing this, but physically forming letters and words. you wouldnt believe how much white out i used today. i wanted to pull out my hair! and i kept hitting the desk in science. lol. those tables hurt, man......i dont know how im gonna go through the rest of my life with this stress and anxiety. severe anxiety, too. i mean i really believe that i might have a medical condition. my cousin has it, and if my dad doesnt have it, id be surprised...i hope i grow out of this and learn to just RELAX. i cant believe i just said that too, because during my freak-out, thats what people tell me to do. "just RELAX! its not that big a deal!" and it just pisses me off even more when they say that....roar. the more i think about my actions, the more i value all of my friends because i probably wouldnt be friends with me if i was someone else lol....thanks brothers.

last night me, julia, and lizzie ushered. it was FUN! i was the head reindeer, once again. today it wasnt as fun because 2 of the people didnt wear antlers....oh well. we went out to eat lunch, then went to the mall. it was too crowded and full of people who walk too slow....i couldnt handle it. i checked to see if FYE had michael buble, and they did but they were over $20.....bleh. on the way home we listened to NPR. its very interesting when you actually listen to it! who would have thought? im about half-way through my journal thing. and i still have tomorrow to do it, so its all "gravy" you know, you guys are "the bomb dot com" HA HA!! im not that lame yall, i just thought id try out some of the hip sayings.....hasta

people on the oasis forums are saying that the venue is really small. every seat is a good one, which makes more people want the tickets, which means that i need i need to get my ticket soon....my parents undecided-ness and procrastination was the reason that we didnt get tickets last time (even though last time ended up being cancelled because of katrina) and i really dont want that to happen again! im very serious about going to this concert.

(to Oasis fans anyway!) theyre coming back to north america on their tour! i missed my frist chance, and i dont want to let this one pass. im thinking of asking for this for christmas. i highly doubt ill be able to go, but if i make my mom feel guilty enough about not getting me an iPod...you never know...but maybe NOT pissing my mom off will help....well have to give it a try...

hola. last night me and hannah ushered for gifts of the magi. my mouth hurts from smiling so much, and ive never said "enjoy the show" that many times in my life. but it was fun. we all had reindeer antlers on and there must have been at least 10 old men who said "hey yall look like reindeer. heh heh!" and we just smiled and said "YEP!" my antlers lit up too! HA! today we did a bit of shopping (grocery shopping that is) and then got popeyes for lunch. gotta love that chicken from popeyes.... and tonight were gonna go out to eat italian for keiths moms birthday. it should be....fun? yea. well im almost done with my project on ALASKA! its friendly with canada, theres lots of snow, dog mushing is the state sport, and theres a LITTLE NORWAY FESTIVAL! what am i doing HERE?

hellloooo. last night when we were making arrangements to get to the theatre, we were talking about hannahs mom bringing us, and lizzie said "well what if wyatt puked everywhere, and theres only one seat left in the van? then they could only take one of us." it was lovely.

today is not fun. today is "cleaning" day. and i hate cleaning day. i never thought that id be so excited to get out of the house and go to hobby lobby with my mom. i do love that store, but we usually spend way too much time in there and we end up buying crafts that we NEVER do. but i might get some knitting and join the knitting club. it looks like fun. and id get to put an away message up that says "knitting like a whore, only better." (quote from lizzie)

i might just die from boredom today. i have a project to do, but thats what sundays are for....

gaaaah! last night isabel said her first word, "dadda"! i wasnt there, but they got it on video tape! shes 6 months now, growing up so fast school was actually good today because it was really laid back. but in 3rd hour we were singing christmas songs, and everyone decided that they wanted to hear sarah sing, so she sang a couple of songs, and then we sang one together. and THEN she had to do sing in 4th hour because she was being pressured by ms hymel. i am sooo envious of her talent. she can sing ANYTHING. SARAH IS MY HERO! in 5th hour i didnt have to do ANYTHING. HA! and we didnt have to go to 6th and 7th hour because of anything goes. we suck.....so bad. we won one event, but got disqualified. great, i know. anywhooo tonight were gonna go see the gifts of the magi at the theatre. sarah says that its awesome, so i cant wait. *looks through mail* oooh! whats this? another Lost magazine! hasta

how annoying is this that i update every day? well here i go again. i just keep having thoughts that need to be shared....i was just thinking of how AMAZING it would be at a concert to be singing along with the ENTIRE audience. hearing live tracks like that....wow. and one that really got me was a live version of "dont look back in anger" by oasis (one of my FAVORITE songs) you could hear the audience more than you could hear the band. it was soooooo coool. aaaah! one day, my friends, one day, i will get to fully experience that. oh yea! one more thought!

heeeey. im gonna try not to rant, but im in a crappy mood. and the cherry on top, IF MY LIFE EVER DEPENDED ON MAKING A DECENT, NOT BURNT BATCH OF COOKIES, YOU MIGHT AS WELL JUST KILL ME NOW. in fact, i think ill do it myself....*pulls out razor* i swear ill do it! i need something to keep me from going EMO!!!! oooh here we go! ben folds, thanks brother. still lots of mixed emotions....and the smell of burnt cookies i fail at life....

mood swing! well something funny DID happen today! after the audish (lol) we were outside and me and hannah were talking about how raven simone came and terrorized my house. she ate all my cornbread, she used up all the toilet paper and DIDNT change the roll, she took my shampoo FROM MY HANDS, she puked on my leg, ALMOST peed on me AND she ate TERROR! josh was LOVING it! OMG! i thought he was gonna have a SEIZURE! and this cool kid (i dont know his name!) was talking about how he was gonna form a circus, and i said that i was gonna be the LION! roar! and then later when we were talking about hannahs cousin (raven) i told him that if she comes to HIS house and tries to terrorize it, he should say "NO! NO HOUSE FOR YOU!" and then kick her in the shin and slam the door. teehee. it was quite enjoyable. oooh and new kid in math! can you say hottie? ha ha! mystery man....hmmm...bye
